UPDATE: Scroll Down for a Second Anchorman 2 Trailer!
Those who spent their weekend checking out Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest comedy vehicle, The Dictator (read our review) should have gotten a glimpse at the official teaser trailer for Anchorman 2 (a.k.a. Anchorman: The Legend Continues) – which does not even have a finished script, as of yet.
Everyone can now check out the domestic teaser for the Anchorman sequel online. Needless to say, there’s not a whole lot to talk about here, other than how it’s fun to see the original film’s main cast (Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner) back playing their respective Anchorman personas – and spouting lots of absurd innuendo, to boot.

Here is what Anchorman co-writer/director Adam McKay previously had to offer, with regards to when the
sequel will take place:

“It’s right when all the news started changing with the 24-hours news cycle in ’78 or ’79. All of a sudden, local news stations diversified and had Latino anchors and African-American anchors, and any time you’re talking about diversity and the Action News team, that’s always fun to deal with.”
Anchorman 2 is also expected to see Christina Applegate return as crusading anchorwoman Veronica Corningstone (in some capacity). Additionally, the sequel should boast many a celebrity cameo, similar to its predecessor – which features brief, yet memorable appearances by the likes of Jack Black, Tim Robbins, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Danny Trejo, among others.
