The country's longest marriage has ended.
Victoria Wrubel, who was married to Steven Wrubel since 1929, died Monday at the age of 102, ending her 83-year marriage to her husband, The Detroit Free Press reported Wednesday.
Victoria and Steven grew up together in Parisville, Mich., and the two married when Victoria was 18 and Steven was 20. Steven, now 103, worked at General Motors and Victoria worked as a housekeeper until they retired more than 40 years ago. They had no children.
The second-longest-married couple, Norman and Normah Burma, have been together 82 years. They tied the knot in 1931.
