Everyone makes mistakes – some just do it a little better than others.
We are bound to have some unfortunate mishaps in course of our relatively short lives, but the difference between us and celebrities is that they have to explain themselves to the public.
The unwritten rule is the following: The bigger the celebrity, the bigger the skeleton (or the closet). These five celebrities have some major skeletons in their closet . . . among other things. So, lets let them out!
1. MARK WAHLBERG
In 1986, back when Mr. Wahlberg was just a Marky Mark poster with those ridiculous underpants sticking out of the top of his pants, he was charged with the attempted murder of a Vietnamese man.
How ”badass” do you have to be to beat a middle aged man with a wooden stick? During his “wild years” he racked up quite a rap sheet. Actually, he managed to shake loose those attempted rapping charges with that “seamless” switch to acting. Boston Police has about 20-25 reports involving Marky Mark.
Thankfully Marky Mark changed his douchey ways and became the nice, family guy we know today.
2. TIM ALLEN
Dang – no wonder Buzz Lightyear thought he could fly. Back in the 70’s, the voice behind our favorite space ranger was arrested for trying to sell a rather massive amount of drugs to an undercover cop. Smooth.
He was arrested at the Battle Creek International Airport for possession of over 650 grams (1.4 lb) of cocaine, plead guilty and decided to cooperate with the authorities.
He was paroled on June 12, 1981, after serving 2 years and 4 months in Federal Correctional Institution, Sandstone. I knew I liked this guy for some reason.
3. CHUCK BERRY
This rock n’ roll legend had a rocky past many people know nothing about. In the 80’s he installed a camera in the women’s bathroom of his restaurant in Missouri.
Berry said the camera was used to catch an employee he suspected of stealing but footage of many women, including a minor, prompted legal suits. Berry settled out of court to avoid charges.
But wait, there’s more! In 1944, while still at Sumner High School, he was arrested and convicted of armed robbery after robbing three shops in Kansas City and then stealing a car at gunpoint with some friends.
