This is a big, fat rumor. So if you could take it with a grain of salt, that would be great. Thanks.
With the JUSTICE LEAGUE movie on the the move, the question arises: what will become of Batman? Christopher Nolan has no involvement in the film, nor does Christian Bale. That chapter has closed. But with JUSTICE LEAGUE coming in 2015, do they have the time to reboot the dark knight?
Maybe you do if you simply just introduce the new Batman/Bruce Wayne into the JUSTICE LEAGUE. According to Batman-On-Film, one of their sources said this:
"Said reboot will come after the JL film, not before. Therefore, the new cinematic Batman will be introduced in the JL film as opposed to a solo film. This would, according to my industry "FOBOF," assure the new Batman film series will be part of a "DC Cinematic Universe."
They go on to express that this "based on industry scuttlebutt" and to take it, as I said, with a grain of salt. However, they state that the source is a rather solid one.
Would this be the best way to bring back the bats-- as part of the JUSTICE LEAGUE first? I see why they would do it. If they want a good Batman, they have to take the time to invest him. BUT...JUSTICE LEAGUE is already set and could possibly give a boost to the interest in DC films. Then again, what if a different director takes on the solo film? Don't you want some consistency? The studio wants the JUSTICE LEAGUE, they have to find a new Bruce. No way around it.
Discuss amongst yourselves now.
