Jana Kramer's Stormy Playlist

Jana Kramer

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Sometimes, the show mustn't go on. And that was the case for Jana Kramer. After her Thursday (April 18) flight from Detroit to Chicago was canceled, she jumped in the car with her team to try to make it to Chicago for her show with Easton Corbin and Chuck Wicks. And while she might normally kill that five hours with fun road games, the torrential thunderstorms across the Midwest made the ride way too scary. She did call into WUSN in Chicago, though, to describe the journey. "I'm in the car right now, en route to Chicago, in the pouring down rain," she said. "There are tornado watches, and I started freaking out. My band leader was like, 'You need to just chill out.'" But then he started playing some songs that might have made things worse: Hunter Hayes"Storm Warning," Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" and Little Big Town's "Tornado." Ultimately, the show was canceled, and I'm assuming Kramer made it back home safe and sound.
